Showered Again!

Saturday we had our 2nd and last baby shower at the home of some close family friends. This wonderful party was hosted by our dear family friends, my brother & his wife and my aunts & uncle. Everything was decorated so cute with little baby closes hanging from clothes lines on all the windows and a baby clothes line themed cake (which was so yummy!). Speaking of yummy, there was tons of food too! Since it was more of a family oriented party, they guys were there too and it was lots of fun. Oh and I got tons of baby goodies...LOTS of clothes and bath stuff. At least he will be a clean, well dressed baby!

It was so nice seeing everybody in one place, visiting and eatting and having a good time. I got to chat with by dear friend that now lives in TX (AKA: sugarbutt), an old co-worker and sweet, sweet friend (Hi Jilly Bean!), an old high school bud I hadn't seen in a while, some good friends that I haven't seen much since I've been pregers (You know who you are PA crew!) and lots of family that doesn't get together often enough.

After we opened presents we handed out little favors I made announcing the baby's name. I slapped them together sort of last minute (the night before) so they are not too fancy but they were cute and bright circus colors just like his nursery! So I guess you wanna know the name huh? Well our little baby fetus will name be know from this day on as Zane Crue Sanders.

Well I will try to post more pics later...blogger is not cooperating this afternoon.

Now that is Exciting!

Ok so seeing my name on the Hambly blog and website as a design team member was fun and such an honor for me but this...THIS is exciting! This is a picture of the Hambly display at CHA in Chicago. For your viewing pleasure, I have circled all SEVEN of my layouts that are on display at CHA right now as I type! You can see this pic and pictures of the new paper and rubon lines they will be releasing on their blog at

In other news, David & I have a baby shower tomorrow! Well It's more like a family celebration... girls, guys, kids, the works! Most of our family and friends will be there and I'm so excited. My dear BFF is even coming in from Houston and will be in attendance! Woo Hoo! Well, as usual, you can count on me for pics.

Scrappin' Away

Yes, I have resorted to scrapbooking to relieve my pregnancy aches and pains. Guess you are wondering now if it's working. The answer is no...but look at the pages I've gotten done trying! Yes this morning I woke up and could not fully bend my fingers and I had a limp due to a joint pain in my knee but thankfully the stiffness is going away as the day progresses. My husband is going to soon forbid me to do anything when I get home from work in the afternoons because my hands and feet are swelling so much. So gotta scrap while I can! he, he!

Ok so to explain my pages I have here:

Fabulous: This was Effer Dare # 36 - Scrap your famous saying or phrase. Used Hambly Paper & Overlay, Scenic Route Papers, Heidi Swapp mask, paint & chipboard letters, 7 gypsies journal tag, Bazzill & Lil Davis Flowers.

Whitty Love: This is a layout I did with some pics of me dear friend, Lindsey they day her new little family came home from the hospital. Too cute! Used Hambly overlay, Scenic Route Papers, Making Memories paint, label holders & brads, Bazzill, Prima & Queen & Co. Flowers, Heidi Swapp Block Letter Stickers, American Crafts Letter Stickers, 7 gypsies ruler tape.

James Neil Whitty: Another layout featuring Lindsey's sweet little angel, James. Used Hambly overlay, Scenic Route Papers, Making Memories Paint, Bazzill, Prima & Queen & Co. Flowers and K & Co. Card.

These pages of James are some of my favorites!

Well my Freestyle Workshop at Memory Mania was a huge success. Not only was the class sold out but we had a waiting list and we had to turn people away! I'm so happy everyone enjoyed the class and all the projects. Thanks so much to everyone that came out. I hope to do more of these little mini workshops after the little one is born. Perhaps we can focus on another Autumn Leaves book as inspiration next time. So here are two of the three projects we made...a 12 X 12 layout & a mini book featuring SEI & Hambly papers. We also made a mini book made out of playing cards but I don't have any pictures of that little project : (

No Regrets

This was last week's Effer Dare. The theme was Hindsight is 20/20. I love how this page came out. I'm still a little high off my Hambly DT announcement so I had to load it up with Hambly goodness! I used a photo of an interstate sign from our trip to Birmingham as inspiration for the journing. (thought it was funny that there is a "Sandersville"...I think it was in Mississippi somewhere)

I used Basic Grey patterned paper as my background they layer on the Hambly overlays and Hambly papers. The font is downloaded from and the star and arrows are Sasafrasslass clear stamps.

Have you ever sat down and thought of some random thoughts about yourself that others may find entertaining or that you may find entertaining years from now. Well that is just what I did here. I did this page as my very first Hambly Design Team (unofficial) assignment. Used Hambly paper & overlay, Basic Grey paper, American Crafts ribbon, Technique Tuesday stamps.

Showered with love!

Yes that is how I felt! Sunday was the first of two baby showers that are planned for David & I. This one was the traditional ladies only shower, given by David's sister, aunts and cousins. SO NICE. David's mom made a centerpiece out of diapers and baby goodies (which will really come in handy) and everyone pitched in on the food and other details. My fellow scrapper, Brenda (also David's cousin) was one of the hostesses and she did a super job with the handmade invitations and sign in book. She even brought a chocolate fountain! Can I say...YUMM! Well needless to say, everyone did a lot of work and it was beautiful...and I got a bunch of great gifts too! Can't beat that! THANKS EVERYONE!

If I were a bun I'd want to be toasted...

Yeah...that is a real quote from this weekend. You see we went to my pal Jill's for some good ol' grilled burgers & fries and I was actually quoted saying "Yeah, If I were a bun I'd want to be toasted" when asked if I wanted my bun toasted. OMG the laughs we had that night! Then when we were done, Jill wrapped up our left overs in foil like swans and turtles! Hillarious.

P.S. Pay no mind to the swollen woman that has taken over my body and sat next to my husband. She will be gone soon...replaced by a non-water retaining beauty queen. Seriously.

Hambly News!

Ok so getting into the loop with Hambly is going to be so much fun! I just got word that they are working on some fab new products that will be introduced at CHA. Now I'm not gonna give anything away...but let me just say OMG it is gonna knock your socks! I can't wait to get my grubby little swollen pregnant hands on this new stuff! Well to hold you over for a little while, here is my latest page I've done. I have to agree with a fellow design team member when I say I think this Hambly goes with everything!

A Christmas Kiss For Mya

I always have such a hard time scrappin' Christmas pictures so this time I decided that I was not gonna stress, I'm just gonna have fun. This is what I came up with. I really love the results. I used Hambly papers & overlays, some OLD embossed background paper from Hob Lob, American Crafts & Making Memory ribbons, Making Memories Board Game Letter, 7 gypsies date sticker, a random button from Buttons Gallore, some gold letter stickers from the dollar store and some corrigated cardboard strips stapled to make a frame. So fun!

Scrapped - The Movie?!

Yeah...I was wondering through the net and found this little tid bit... .

You have got to check this actually looks funny!

man i love a holiday!

Yes it's a little sad that we just stayed at home (in the rain) and grilled burgers & hot dogs with my parents on the George Forman grill...but hey, look at all the scrappin' I got done! I'll take that over a big (rainy) 4th of July production anyday! Ok, so some of this was done this weekend but you get the point! And yes, I was a bad pics to remember this 4th of July. Yep, my sweet hubby even noticed and commented that the camera didn't come out. Oh well, next year will be way more of a photo op with the little one here!
