Guess Who I'm Gonna Meet?!

YEAH...Heidi Swapp....Elsie Flannagan, Carrie Colbert & Cathy Zielske. Ok so I don't really know who Cathy Zielske is but she is big in the scrapbook industry. Anyways, OH MY GOD how cool is it that I not only get to meet these ladies but take classes from them too! Alright, Alright, I'll tell you how and where....Scrap Etc. Events. Apparently Scrap Etc. is a small scrapbookstore in Burmingham, AL with a staff & a concept to convence these very talented ladies in the industry to come teach at their event. HOW AWESOME IS THAT?! It will be a weekend event with some of the top designers in the industry teaching classes based on inspiration. ...teaching you how to train your eye to find inspiration in the things around you! There will be 8 classes & we will get to work with products from many vendors like...Heidi Swapp, Ki, Autumn Leaves, Technique Tuesday, and Quickutz amoung others.
This will be the most amazing weekend! Call 205-985-9323 or go to http://www.scrapetcevents.typepad.com for details. Oh this is gonna rock!

OH...he done good!

Well...Valentine's Day has come and gone and I have bragged to just about anyone and everyone that would listen about how good my darling husband did but I just realized that I have not yet posted a blog entry about it. So here goes... You see, apparently David did his Valentine shopping the day we heard the baby's heartbeat for the first time. He went to Mignon Faget (my all time favorite jewelry store) and bought me a beautiful silver and rose quartz heart pendant and a bottle of purfume. Then he spotted the baby stuff in the store and could not resist getting a baby bib for the baby. I know, I know, how sweet is that?! And for it to be from my favorite jewely designer at that! It was a little over priced for a baby bib but it will no doubt end up being a family heirloom treasure. Then, since he had his heart set on getting me a fleur de lis and they were all out of them (Mignon is a famous New Orleans jewlery designer and everyone is buying fleur de lis jewlery to show support for New Orleans) he stopped by a local import jewerly shop and bought me a fleur de lis ring too! Oh yeah...he done good. See for yourself...

music to our ears

Yep, we went to the doctor Tuesday and we got to hear the baby's heart beat! It was faint but fast and defiantly there. We didn't get to hear it for long though, darn little scupper moved behind a bone and we couldn't pick it up again. The doctor said I am doing very well and all my tests look good so...woo hoo. She said that we are pretty much out of the woods now that we have heard the heart beat and I'm almost out of my first trimester. We should hear it much stronger next month and then in April we will get to see it on an ultrasound. We are really excited now and David is being so sweet about it all. He is so funny, he amazes me and makes me laugh. He is gonna be a great daddy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know what you're thinking..."oh ya'll are so sweet...you make me sick"...so I'll stop gushing...for now. Just wanted to keep you posted on Baby Watch 2006.
