Zane1st Thanksgiving in the Woods

Well our first road trip was an experience to say the least, but I think little one enjoyed his stay in the woods. Now we have a different set of issues...teething. Yep, I think the little guy is trying to cut some teeth. We shall see.
Here are more pictures for your viewing pleasure.

OMG this is some good pie! This was my contribution to Thanksgiving dinner this year. It's a meat pie and it is the best think you have ever put in your mouth! I've had some requests for the receipe but there really isn't least that is what my aunt told me when I asked her for the receipe. However, I can tell you how I made it. So here goes...

You will need:
1 pound of ground beef
1 pound of ground pork
1 small onion - diced
2 stalks of celery - diced
1/2 bellpepper - diced
seasonings of your choice for meat (garlic salt, cajun seasonings, etc.)
1 can of cream of chicken soup
greated parmasan cheese
Shredded Italian cheese blend
2 pie shells
1 egg

Smother your onions, celery & bellpepper
Add your pork & beef and season
Stir and brown meat mixture
While meet is cooking, lightly brown one pie shell according to package directions
Add a generous amount of parmasan cheese to meat mixutre & mix well
Remove browned pie shell from oven and fill with meat mixture
Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of meat
Place thawed pie shell on top of pie and seal edges
Prick with a fork for venting
Beat egg in a small dish and brush lightly over the top of the pie
Bake according to pie shell directions or until golden
*** Side Notes: This meat filling makes three pies total. Also, I used frozen onion seasoning mix and added fresh bellpeppers for extra flavor. And when I made my last pie I didn't have any shredded Italian cheeses so I used some sliced provolone I had in the fridge. So don't be afraid to alter it to your taste.

And there you have it. A new family tradition is born. Well that and this delish Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding thanks to Food Network!

Yep, that is what I've been doing. Dispite having to get ready for my biggest craft show of the season, I managed to work on some projects for my Self Addressed Design team. This month they featured Fancy Pants papers, rubons & ribbons. These cards are just some of the projects I made this month.

I sort of went overboard...check out the rest of my creations here!

Sunday's Class

Hi guys, Sunday I will be teaching a class at my LSS (Memory Mania) on this cute little Disney Journal. If you are in south Louisiana, you should sign up for it. It really will make a great little keepsake from your Disney trip. It is designed as an autograph journal for the characters to sign but there is places for pictures too. If you already went to Disney and don't have autographs, you can just use is as a scrapbook and just put pictures in it. OR if you went to Disney and got your autographs in a plan book, you can make copies of them and put them in this one along with your pictures. There are so many posibilities with the precious little book!

Guest Designer...Me?!

Yep, Sheri with contacted Hambly and asked for some info on their design team because they were featuring some Hambly in their November kit and wanted to have some guest designers. So shortly after that Sheri contacted me and sent me a kit to play with and come up with some designs for her site. Little did I realize that she picked me to represent Hambly...I was the only one to recieve the kit! So here it is...I'm a "Guest Designer". Thank you so much for this opportunity Sheri, I had a blast! My gallery should be up today or will have to go spy and see it...some serious Hambly love going on there! Take a look at these yummy papers, I mean really! You can't see it all that well in this pic but she featured the Hambly Big Vintage Circle paper and the Journaling Bits Overlay. I really thought outside MY box on this one, I can't wait for you to see!

All Hallow's Eve

Well Zane had a good first Halloween despite being a bit under the weather due to his first round of shots! We had plenty of visitors and trick or treaters so he got to see a lot of new faces. So here he is in his parrot costume. David and I were pirates and Zane was our parrot...he was so cute! The first two pics were taken Halloween night, the last one was taken about a week ago.
