These are a few...

...of my favorite things! Things from my trip that is. Well you know how excited I was about that beautiful store and my classes but besides that, this was my favs...

Time with the hubby while Zane was chillin' with grandma.

The "welcome spread" ala Lindsey. This chick knows how to welcome you with open arms and make you feel special!

This picture of my sweetie being such a rebel...note the sign.

Sushi. Enough said.

Oh and laughs. So many laughs with my sugarbutt! I miss you sweetie...you are in my thoughts.

Home, Sweet Home

Well after a wonderful trip, some fabulous company and some refreshing inspiration, we are home at last. The crop and classes at By Design Scrapbook Boutique went well and I picked up some delish goodies that I've already begun playing with! Here are a few pics before I turn in for the night...

The crop was so nice and the ladies were super! We did make and takes and had give aways...it was all very inspiring.

Here I am doing a little twirl in the store. This place is so beautiful and inspiring, it makes you just want to twirl around!

The owner of the store, Tracy, is so sweet. She was so accomidating and treated me like I was family. Seriously. She even fed me. I'm like a puppy, you feed me and I'm your friend for life! LOL!

And I got to hang out with Jessica, an old friend from Baton Rouge that moved to Houston and now works at this wonderful store! That's Jess on the left.

Now you know my bff lives in Houston so I got to spend lots of time with her and her sweet little family too. We did our fair share of clowning around. I'll post more on that later.

*Sigh* So much inspiration. So little time!

I'll post more pics later. Right now I have to go catch up on my sleep so I can be all bright eyed and bushy tailed for my "day job" tomorrow! LOL!

What did you do this weekend?

This is what we did...well one of the things we did. We went to the mall to get some shoes I've been eyeing and couldn't resist putting Zane on the Merry-go-round. I think he really enjoyed it! We also did some LSU football watchin' and dinner eating at a friend's house. Oh and lets not forget the madd kit preppin' I'm doing for my classes next weekend at By Design Scrapbook Boutique next weekend. More pics and this week's scrapjack layout later!

Yep, that's us...in Tiger Stadium. *sigh* Would you belive this was my first LSU football game?
Well let me back up a moment...
You see, my bff got us some REALLY good seat...REALLY cheap. Like so cheap you can't turn them down cheap!
This was a much anticipated game against Virgina Tech and it was a major sell out! The Virgina Tech fans were so great. Here we are chatting with a few...see the one in the back...the one on the phone...he is talking to his mom. How freakin' sweet is that?!
I posted this one for you Kelli...see we were very nice to your fellow Hokies! LOL!
Then we walked from the tailgating festivities, taking random pics along the way. These tailgaters do it right!
How happy does my husband look?! LOL! He was pretty excited...his first time in death valley too!

Aren't we cute? I posted this one last 'cause we look like we are walking into the sunset but this was actually one of the first pics we took. he he!
Can't wait to scrap you sugarbutt!

Charmed, I'm sure...

Still rockin' that fab Red Velvet kit, "Reform School"! I used the charms to make a fab little charm braclet and tied bits of fabric around it.

Summer Sunset

This new Masters kit had me wishing for just a few more weeks of summer!

Fun with Fabric!

Ok, so I mentioned to you earlier in the week that the RVK "Reform School" came with fabric. Well I had a little fun with mine and thought I would share some tips.
The top pic is a little pouch/purse that I made out of some felt in my stash and I made flower to embelish it using the supplies from the kit and a little duct tape. The second pic is a close up that shows how I covered a button with the fabric to form the center of the flower. The third pic is a little mini portfolio that I made using two of the inner pages from the chipboard album. I bound it with some big jump rings and covered the front of it with the vintage book paper in the kit. then I ripped the fabric and used safety pins to pin it pack together and then adheared it to the cover with some super sticky double stick tape. I love how it turned out!
Would you believe I'm STILL playing with this kit?! lol! The RVK girls really hit a home run with this kit! I'll share more when I get more finished.

CocoCupcake preview!

Ok, so you have seen the beautiful Basic Grey papers Ashley has choosen for the very first CocoCupcake kit...so here is a peek at some of the things I did with mine. Can't wait to share!

Birthday Under the Big Top

My baby is a year old. What more can I say? It feels so strange to watch this little guy grow and change. This year has been such a wild ride. His party was Saturday and the turn out was great...despite the noticable absence of my bff, AKA: sugarbutt (hope your little one is doing better!) The theme was circus and we had everything from popcorn to circus peanuts to carry out the theme. We played games, had cake, opened presents and even played in the rain. I think a good time was had by all. Here are more of my favorite shots of the day.

RVK Love...

I've been playing with my Red Velvet kit! This month I'm guest designing over at the Red Velvet kit club. I love the fun "Reform School" theme of this kit...such cool patterns! Here are some of my pages for your viewing pleasure...

I'll post more later in the month, including a fab little chipboard mini and some fun fabric techniques. Yeah, the kit has fabric too!
I'll also be posting my projects for CocoCupcake later too! Oh the kit love! LOL!
