Is it possible?

Is it possible for a 20 month old to know numbers?
I didn't think it was possible...until my 20 month old looks up and points to the 9 on my shorts and says "nine". WHAT? Did you just say "nine"? No...surely that was a coincidence. So then I was explaining this to David later (still wearing the shorts) and Zane looks ups again, points to it and says "nine". OMG! He is seriously saying it! Then he pointed to the 8 and said "B". I mean it did look like a "B". Is this possible?

*thanks for the pic Kate*
He is just amazing us lately. His vocabulary has gotten so large and he is even making small sentences. Just the other day he said "I go bath mama". How cute is that?! This is starting to get interesting.

That's the title of my mini book I did for Kate's class over at Create My Keepsake.

I originaly wanted to use this book to record random thoughts & facts about me but I sort of went in another direction. I'm thinking I will now make two books and switch the cover/titles. You can see more of my book and Kate's book as well as Stephanie Howell's version of it too by signing up for Kate's class.

Well I'm not feeling so hot tonight so that's all I got. *sigh* I see a big cup of hot tea in my very near future.

Hubs is a year wiser & I met Kate the great!

Yeah I know that title is lame. Sorry.

So yeah, my hubby requested a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. So naturally, that is exactly what I made for him. It was fairly yummy. Can't wait to eat some leftovers again tonight after supper.

Then today I had the pleasure of meeting the fabulous Kate O'Brian for lunch.

Despite a minor set back (Zane falling off the bed onto his head)...we made it to PJ Changs where we had a yummy meal complete with pot stickers & lettuce wraps. mMMMM! Then we topped that off with some Starbucks. So the reason we were meeting (besides just because we wanted to meet IRL) was for me to pick up my kit for her class over at Create My Keepsake. She asked me to be one of her "celebrity guest designers". I giggle every time I see her refer to me as a "celebrity guest"! You have got to go check it out! The class starts tomorrow.

Ok, since I was so excited to meet Kate and I admire her work, I wanted to make her a little gift. Here is what I came up with. It is made using the cover from an old cigar box as the "canvas" and has lots of vintage trim. Now I'm totally jealous and think I'm gonna make one for me too!

I hope you like it Kate!

They say it's your birthday...

Ah yes, my sweet hubby turns a year wiser today. So last night we went out to see a really cool band play to celebrate.

A good time was had by all and lots of obnoxious pictures to prove it! More celebrating to come today. Happy Birthday baby!

Scrappy Goodness...

So I guess you think I've been scrap slackin'...think again.
This is my latest creation for Dove of the East.

This is my version of the soon to be released Heidi Swapp mirror book. It was one of the classes at the event last weekend and although I didn't follow the instructions I had fun with it!

And these lovelies will be classes at Scrap-A-Ganza in June! If you are in the Houston area, sign up!

More pics from the weekend...

Still giving a little peek into my trip...
This picture was taken at the TN welcome center. I just love it so much.

Isn't this hotel fabulous?! It was enchanting!

The "living tree". Every afternoon, the trees come alive at the hotel. Well, at least this one does. She was so beautiful!

Meeting JJ! Jeanette (from Scrap in Style) was such a sweetheart in real life!

The fabulous Heidi Swapp.
Well that's all for now. More to come!

Back to Reality

Ahhh yes...back to home sweet home. Busy catching up at work but I'll leave you with some pics to hold you over till I can give a better update.
Got to help out with the Hambly make and take again this year. Here we all are rockin' our fabulous shirts hand screen printed by Allison herself. Me, Allison, Stacey & Kerry Lynn.

This was the wonderful group of ladies from the Scrap in Style message board that did the TN trading cards. These girls put in some serious work for these wonderful little cards!

Hanging out at the resort. This place was beautiful and HUGE! Zane loved wondering around everywhere but didn't so much care for stopping for pictures.

Playing at the TN welcome center.
And this beauty is a shot from our session with the talented Ulmers! I can't wait to see more...seriously, I'm stalking her blog! LOL!

Ok, well I'll be back with more details soon!

More weekend pics...

To wrap up the weekend, we went to my niece's first communion. She looked so grown up in her white dress.
And these beautiful flowers were just outside of the church...I had to take some pictures!
Ok, one more day till we leave for Nashville!

Sunday Happies...

These things are making me happy this morning.
Buttons Martha will be giving to fellow sisters next week.

Sweet little books that Wilna lovingly made for her sisters at the event.

This is the Hambly make & take Allison created for us to do at the Hambly booth Saturday night. I love that she used a picture of us from last year on her sample! So cute!

And last but CERTAINLY not least, here is my little man. We went to a crawfish boil at my girl Beth's house yesterday...this is where Zane was most of the afternoon. The boy loves a good John Deer. And yes that is a cat behind him on the seat. He was cool with it. *sigh* Only a few more days left till we head to Scrap Etc. in Nashville. Wwwwwwhehehhhheeee!

Title? What title?

Oh the joy. Oh the bliss! Look where I've been!

Yeah, I went there. I bought stuff. I'm pleased.
And this is why I love these clothes...the details. Look at the sweet little tags inside these beauties.

How could you not want to drape your body in these fashions?

Ok, now this is just hilarious. Zane just refuses to stop and nap. He fights sleep like no child I have ever seen. It's like he thinks the world throws a huge party when he is unconscious. So I caught him catching some z's. He kept nodding and every time he would nod he would jerk his hand and his truck would roll. It was quite funny. I shot a few seconds of video too but that takes way to long to you get pics.

Funny huhh?

The little yellow coat

You see I've been "visiting" this yellow coat at the store. I wanted it but it was way more than I wanted to pay. I went yesteday to buy it but the lady told me I was mistaken and it wasn't on sale. So I left. Coatless. But then I received an email about how I need this coat and it needs me. (Lindsey is quite the writer). So needless to say, I went back today with a 25% coupon in hand to get it. I had an excuse now...the email made me do it. So I get up to the register and it IS on sale! AND I got the 25% discount too...coming to a whopping 55% off! YES! So this baby is mine. It's much cuter in person. Promise. I'm totally gonna scrapbook that later Lindsey! LOL!
