Airing on the side of caution

Ok, so that is totally not my picture above but I needed an emergency room picture for dramatic effect. So we spent the night in the ER last night until about about 4 this morning. Apparently David has "walking pneumonia". So in addition to his kidney stones, he now has this to deal with. So let me back up...he told me yesterday afternoon that he was not feeling well but his has not been uncommon lately. Well later on he told me he was about to pass out and after taking his temp I saw he was burning up with 104 temperature. Long story short, we tried to get his fever down with no luck and ended up in the ER only to find out out that according to the ER doctor and our $150 copay, there is nothing else they can do. Nice. So he is home resting and his fever has broken again for the second time since last night. It's so annoying to know something is up and the damn doctors can't figure it out. Speaking of which, I was also suffering from a migraine last night but fortunately it was mild and was soon forgotten about with all the ER mess. Anywho, this is a few pics from my evening.

Ran through Mickey D's for some grub for me and the my little man while Daddy rested before be brought him to the ER. It was rainy and nasty and seemed like EVERYONE in town had the same idea for supper last night.

And this is where we spent the night. Cozy, right? Good 'ol lucky 13! How is it that every time I go to the Hospital we are in room 13? I don't like the odds of that.

On a lighter note, Kate and I are meeting up tomorrow to chat about kit stuff and our two little ones get to have a bit of a play date. So FUN! Well more on that later. I'm off to try to catch up on some sleep. Wish me luck!

Damn...where have I been?

I haven't updated since Monday and still not much to share.
Just some 365s. Above is Tuesday, below is Wednesday...I was thinking of sugarbutt that day and wore the fabulous earrings she made for me.
And here is today. It perfectly captures my mood. Just sort of blah. Nothing fabulous. Nothing horrible. I'm sore from the gym last night. It's Thursday. Tomorrow is Friday. You know how it goes. Just work as usual. Hopefully I'll get my butt in gear and do something creative today. One can dream...right?

What's Inspiring You?

This is on my inspiration board right now.

I'm going to make a layout based on it. I love the black and white stripes and the green leaves of the plants.

Speaking of layouts, I made a few with my June Studio Calico kit. Love the colors in fresh!
On this one I used the flag page from the Domino magazine and a bunch of Anthorpology clothes tags for the background. And on to the 365's. Here is today's.
And yesterday...I dined on this delish lemon cookie from Starbucks. Good Lord that was yummines. *sigh*

Pretty Laid Back...

Yep this weekend was fairly laid back. Did a bit of scrappin. Got some ATC card action.

Took some 365's like this one tonight looking at all the meds that have consumed our lives and our bank account. I mean damn prescriptions are pricey! Geeezzz.

We took a spin through Perkins Rowe to meet a friend for dinner Friday night but due to horrible service we had to leave before we were even served. Then we went to a wedding reception for my cousin and oddly enough I had a better time chatting about politics and work than I expected. (Yes Lindsey...we talked about politics.)

*and shockingly enough, I was in Perkins Rowe and did NOT go into Anthropologie. (although I REALLY wanted to*

And here I am at work Thrusday doing what I do. Ain't it glamorous?

So that's about it for now. Nothing too fun and exciting right now. Just life.

Do you Cosmo?

Got a tiny bit of scrappin' done...

Used the new Cosmo Cricket line to make a cute little calendar and a layout about my new summer signature color! Seriously love that blackboard book. It just made the perfect little tiny calendar. Also used stuff from the June SIS style phyle and calendar stamps are Purple Onion.

Yes I'm Anxious. But first...365 for today...
...and yesterday. (*note the new cut*)
Now why am I anxious you ask? Well...Kate and I were emailing back and forth about some kit stuff and the coming months are gonna be so frickin' awesome. And our guest designers we have lined up...OMFG. Seriously. Heaven. See, I'm getting all jumpy just typing about it. Secondly, my long lost BFF Lindsey, AKA Sugarbutt is on the home stretch for moving back to Baton Rouge. Again, getting giddy just thinking about it. She is such an inspiration to me as a a a friend. I love her with all my little 'ol southern heart.
I know you will miss your TX home and your new friends that you have come to love but you will be back home and more blessed than ever...and I can't be happier. Selfish I know...but this is me you are talking about...what did you expect?! Can't wait to have you back sugar!
So yes, I'm anxious. Perhaps it's just the cup of coffee I just consumed...but more likely due to the above reasons.

New Haircuts, New Toys, Father's Day & Scrapjacked Mini

First, here are my 365's for today and yesterday...
Now for a weekend recap...We all got haircuts this weekend. David was all too pleased to fix Zane's hair to match his.
Today David put together a playground set for Zane. That's how he wanted to spend his Father's day morning. And this smiling face makes that all worth it for him.

Then he grilled us some hamburgers on his new grill he got for father's day. Zane was quite fond of them.
Grandma and Grandpa came eat with us and brought Zane a new toy. He was quite fond of that too. Here is my little mini I did for the Kara jack over at Scrapjacked. I love how it turned out! You can see more of it in my gallery. Dig Deeper is sponsoring one of the prizes so play along with us for a chance to win. AND Kate is our guest jacker. She totally rocked it with us!

Yes this has confirmed my belief that the 365 project is profoundly meaningful.
It's the story of Jamie Livingston and his life journey through a picture a day. I found the link to it on Sara's blog and knew that I had to share it with everyone I come into contact with. A lot of you have asked what the 365 project is all about. Well this is it. The pictures are not great. The light is not ideal. He didn't use the latest and greatest technology. But they are perfect. Check it out. It gave me chills looking through his story.

Do I have to have a title?

Working on a bunch of things lately. Can't quite share just yet but soon. My Dig Deeper mini is pretty much done as well as my scrapjack for the 15th. You guys are gonna flippin love the jack on the 15th. It's gonna inspire you. Also working on some cards for a couple of ATC swaps. So love those.
And this my friends, is proof that my little man is growing up so fast. This is the begining of his "art" collection. Yep, you are witnessing it right here before your eyes. He colored these little masterpieces this week at daycare. He is such a big boy! So the refrigirater art collection begins.

Is it Friday yet?

Last night was not a good night with my little guy. Between 9 & midnight he woke up 6 times and then coughed the rest of the night. I don't know what his deal is. He seemed to be in good spirits this morning though. He just hasn't been himself at night the last few days. I'm thinking a doctor's visit may be in order.

Now onto kit news, as I mentioned above, I was up pretty late last night scrapbooking and listening for Zane. I finished my mini for the first challange over at Dig Deeper. I just have a few finishing touches...waiting on a couple of goodies to come. Here is a little peek at it. The title letters were substituted until the kit letters come in but I had to get the full visual out of my head and down on paper or I wouldn't be able to sleep!

Digging deep is hard. I'm not a journaler. This will certainly be a growing process for me but I know I need to get these things down. More to come on this little treasure soon.

Dig Deeper!

Ahh yes, the website is up! Check us out! Kate has worked really hard on the site and I think it looks superb! We will meet up tomorrow to discuss some specifics and I couldn't be happier!

So what have I done so far this weekend. hmmm...let me think...where do I start?

I did some scrappin' with my Masters kit Friday afternoon.

Went out to eat and see a band play Friday night. Starting to become a habit.

Saturday was interesting. We spend a good chunk of the afternoon in the Urgent Medical Care office. Asthma issues. grrrr. He is good now. My sweet little angel. Below is my 365 taken during that ordeal.

Also spent the evening catching up with my old pal Jill. So glad to reconnect with her. We just entertain each other. She finally got to spend some quality time with my little munchkin.

I think they hit it off. Sorry for the crappy pic but it was taken in the moment.

Well that's all for now. It's totally late...Time to pass out until it be morrow. Sorry, that was lame.

Friday, Sweet Friday!

I am very pleased to say it IS Friday.
I am also very pleased that this purse I've been lusting over is mine all mine! And so it became the focus of my 365 for today.

And here are my pics from Thursday & Wednesday.

We don't normally go out two weekends in a row...but tonight our favortie new 80's cover band is playing their final show. *tear* So the inlaws are keeping my sweet baby boy and we get to rock out to some 80's LOVE! And since I've been CRAVING sushi, we are trying a new sushi place and I am quite pleased about that too!

Oh and I got my Masters kit yesterday and have already started getting my scrap on...

Ok, back to scrapin' before we head to the gym. Laters!
