Hello Blogger...I've missed you

I really have missed blogging...but I've been slammed with lots of things lately. Fun things...but busy, busy, BUSY! Lots of jewelry parties and enjoying this wonderful weather in between!

I've made lots of things lately...
New things... like cute little bobby pins!
I also made and kept a few new pieces for myself. This is my new favorite pair of earrings and my new "goes with everything" necklace. I have one up for grabs in my etsy shop too.
I even found time to scrap (still not real sure how I managed that). Got to play with last month's Masters kit and wow I had fun with some home decor items!
Enjoyed lots of yummy seasonal foods outside on the picnic table. My favorite kind of dining.
What else? hmmm...OH lots of 365 pictures. Some of the above shots were actually 365s. This time around I'm not just doing self portraits, I'm also including shots of things we are doing, foods we are eatting, etc.

And you know I have to get some cute outfit shots.

Well that's all I got for now. I'll try not to wait so long before we meet again!

On this day...

On this day...8 years ago, I married my best friend. I know...everybody says that.
But he really is my best friend. Through thick and thin. Good times and bad. Sickness and health. For richer or poorer. In the eight years we have been married we have survived a lot already. Horrible life threatening illness, loss of family members, loss of jobs, birth of a beautiful son, devistating hurricanes...all of which have managed to make us stronger.

On this day eight years ago I knew this man would provide for me.
I knew he would make a great husband...and father for that matter.
And yet I continue to be suprised by him every day of our lives.
The day I put this white dress on and said those vows, I knew it was forever.
I knew we would grow and change together.
But I could never have imagined just how exciting and fulfilling that growth and change would be.
On this day in 2010, I'm just as excited and in love as the day I put that dress on.

This week I call it Bohemian on a budget!
I personally own every piece from this montage! Well sorta. The necklace is for sale. And so are the earrings but I have my own pair of them that I kept for myself. Love summer looks!

Feeling Loopy

Lots of creative things going on in my little mind these days...including spring/summer accessories.
I got this pretty little ditty in the mail last week. It's a fun loopy scarf/necklace made by fellow scrappy girl Jenn Geigley. I'm totally in love!

I've got a great Anthro heavy montage ready for Monday so you will get to see more of my spring/summer pics soon! Hopefully my next post will be a crafty one!

Easter Sunday Recap

This year Easter felt easy.
Not that it was every "hard" just felt effortless. Easy. I can't really explain it.
Granted we didn't get around to dying eggs...but we did enjoy the day.
Z even got some fishing in. *giggle*
Got to see this beautiful little girl...who we don't see near enough. (my brother's daughter)
Zane really had a blast most of the day just playing in the water fountain. Thankfully, his aunts gave him clothes for his Easter gifts! He was soaked!

I didn't take many pics of the day but I was so pleased when I snapped this one...

Perfect capture of my little guy's personality!

And more of my sweet nieces...
They are getting so big! I had the best time just watching them together. Mya is so tender and sweet and protective of her little sister. I love that she is turning into that kind of little lady.
Needless to say by the end of the afternoon my little guy needed a nap something awful and as "in a mood".
But he played hard and had a blast so sleep came easy as soon as we get in the car to go home!
As we walked to the car I turn to see this...
And quickly grabbed my camera. More sweet moments between sisters.
Oh what it must be like to share that bond. *heart*
So no sooner Z opened his eyes from his nap he went strait to his Easter basket looking for his egg sidewalk chalk.
He never really had much of an interest in sidewalk chalk but I guess it's hard to resist egg shaped chalk...from the Easter Bunny of all people!
We drew and played for what seemed like hours...well at least the better part of two hours or so.
Till we had this masterpiece! A track for his monster trucks!
Talk about a happy kid!

Z's Official Easter Pics

Just a quick post to share Zane's "official" Easter pics!
A friend of ours is doing some sideline photography and was offering Easter pics so we gave it a shot.
You know my kid isn't the sit and pose or smile and say cheese kinda kid...he is more of a chase me down and make me laugh kinda kid so this was dicey to say the least.

But we got a few good shots and that's what it's all about...right? LOL!

Totally Wicked!

So Thursday the hubs and I headed to New Orleans.
We were off to see Wicked! I was so excited! Since I don't have much of an attention span I am not a reader...which is the ONLY reason I never read the Novel. SOOOO when I saw it was a play and it was coming to New Orleans, I was all over it!
We went to Deannie's, our favorite NOLA restaurant for a bite to eat. And then headed to the theater.
Since I had never read the book I really had no idea what to expect. I'm so glad. It was nice to now know what was gonna happen next.
Here are some pics I found online to show you how amazing it really was!

It surpassed any expectations I had for it! It was everything I hoped it would be. I mean I hoped it would have lots of ties to the Wizard of Oz but really expected it to be it's own story. I was SO happy that it did both!! I sure hope they make a movie of it one day. I would love that!
